Art from the Hartt is a home-based business located in Montrose, CO with sales primarily on my Etsy Shop. The business opened in 2021 and is a long sought-after opportunity of owner, Cathy Hartt, RN, DNP.
Cathy became a registered nurse in 1983 and a nurse-midwife in 1990, she went on for her doctorate in nursing practice in 2016. She has spent her career in nursing, nurse-midwifery, and academic leadership. With retirement from a 40 year career in nursing came her dream to focus on growing a small business.
In addition to creating art and growing plants, Cathy has started a business focused on positive psychology called Resilience – The Very Stuff of Life. She plans to develop products and classes related to evidence-based resilience. She is a long-time student of thought leaders like Martin Seligman, Ph.D., Chris Peterson, Ph.D., Barbara Frederickson, Ph.D. and other leading positive psychologists. Her doctoral project focused on improving veteran resilience.
Cathy’s art is inspired by her love of her garden and travel adventures. She is owned by 3 dogs and 2 cats who have taught her much about life.
